แบ่งการทำงานออกเป็น 2 ส่วนด้วยกัน คือ ส่วนที่ไม่มีแรงดึงดูดของแม่เหล็ก กับส่วนที่มี แรงดึงดูดของแม่เหล็ก โดยเนื้อแม่เหล็กจะมีอยู่เพียงซีกเดียวของเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง ในการทำงาน Casing ของ Magnetic Drum Separator จะหมุนโดยรอบ โดยที่แม่เหล็กจะอยู่กับที่ เศษโลหะที่ไหลผ่านจะถูกดูดติด เมื่อ Casing หมุนผ่านจุดที่ไม่มีแรงดึงดูด ของแม่เหล็กแล้ว เศษเหล็กและโลหะก็จะล่วงตกไปเองในช่องของเสีย ส่วนวัตถุดิบจะผ่านเข้าช่องทางปกติเพื่อเข้าสู่ กระบวนการผลิตในขั้นต่อไป ( เป็นระบบ Auto Cleaning ) ในการหมุนของ Casing นั้นจะถูกขับโดยการใช้มอเตอร์เกียร์ มาตรฐาน ทั่วไป ซึ่งความเร็วรอบของมอเตอร์นั้น สามารถปรับให้เหมาะสมกับการใช้งานและปริมาณการผลิตได้ สามารถ ออกแบบสร้างได้ทุกขนาดตามความต้องการของผู้ใช้งาน

Magnetic Drum Separators are available for installation in the feed lines such as at outlet of elevator, screw conveyor etc. Flanged type inlet and outlet connections are provided. The Drum Separator may look similar to the head roller magnet, however their operation method are quite different. The Drum Separator is consists of two section, which are the magnetic, and the non-magnetic section. Both of the two sections are the steady section ( not moving section ) Which will be covering with its own casing. This casing will actually make the 360 turn. The Magnetic field will extracted the ferromagnetic particles and transported them by rotating motion of the casing. The casing will rotate area, and release them off.
